Towards the end of the year, I ventured into the world of Craft Fairs. Been thinking about selling my work for sometime, looking at different options of notecard formats and styles. Started by simply sticking photos on to card, which didn't give the style or finish I was after. Photos then changed from rectangle to square, and printed directly on to the card. But, I wanted to have something a little more unquie, and bringing together my love of kraft card, photography and classic albums, the style of notecard evolved to that I use today.
This was my first fair in Malvern, not knowing what to expect, I opted just for a small table - I even built the card stands especailly. It proved a success, and I got the 'craft fair bug', and have done a number in the last few weeks of the year.
After the first fair, I needed extra display space, so I made floor stand display unit - which allowed me to display more of my range of notecards. Even got asked where i got my stands from by another crafter!
The final fair of the year, at Areley Kings was very Christmassy, lots of Christmas gift ideas, live music and a great choice cakes - the mince pie was very nice!
Now I have had a taste of a few fairs, I now better prepared and raring to go for 2018!
